Cancellation of the Tournament

The deadline for signing up your team for participation in the Maim! Mangle! Mutilate! 2007: Low Caliber Edition tournament has been met, and since only a measly four teams had the courage to step up to the challenge and a greater number of teams are required for the tournament to have a length of any significance, I unfortunately see no choice but to "pull the plug" and effectively cancel the tournament. Thanks to the four signed up teams - Body Head Bangers, Burst of Aggression, the Low Caliber Club / Rune Federation alliance and Zaphirs - for the support.

...has one week remaining and unless a "significant" amount of hordes grow a pair and step up to the challenge, the Maim! Mangle! Mutilate! 2007: Low Caliber Edition tournament will face cancellation.

While no more hordes have signed up for participation in the tournament so far, PaiN Horde and Revelation of Memoria have both actively rejected the challenge they were issued on the 13th.

A great number of hordes have been officially challenged based on their level of activity as represented by the RUNE HORDES dot INFO horde listing; Behüter des Lichts, Bruderschaft des Codex, Bulls On Patrol, Council of Valhalla, Fun Fuckers, Here comes Trouble, Incarnations of Evil, JuNN Horde, Nosebleed, PaiN Horde, Revelation of Memoria, REY, Shifters Reloaded, Team Scorpion and The Sick BasTardS.

The masters of the low caliber discipline, the Low Caliber Club, have joined forces with Rune Federation and signed up for participation!

Zaphirs accepted the challenge and signed up as horde number three. No word has been uttered from Gaiscedach in response to the challenge so far...

Body Head Bangers followed in the footsteps of Burst of Aggression and signed up for participation in the tournament, and hopefully more hordes are to do the same, as official challenges have been issued to Clan Rage and Gaiscedach so far. More to follow!

The first horde, Burst of Aggression, has already signed up for the tournament, and over the course of the next couple of days select hordes are going to receive an official challenge to participate as well - based on the level of activity of the horde, as represented by the RUNE HORDES dot INFO horde listing, and the fighting behavior as observed in the servers.

Scheduled for the season of Fall 2007 comes another RUNE HORDES dot INFO Tournament, the Maim! Mangle! Mutilate! tournament, which is an attempt at bringing back the genuinely good fights to the game, in contrast to the instagib game play currently corrupting the game, by limiting the weaponry available to the participants to the low caliber selection. More information can be found in the introduction to the tournament, and you can sign up your team under hordes if your interest has been sparked. Don't forget to check out the rules either!
